St. Mark’s is a member parish of the Episcopal Diocese of California, which was first organized in 1850, and is currently led by the Right Reverend Marc Andrus, eighth Bishop of California.

The Episcopal Church is a member province of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the third largest body of Christians, with over 80 million members globally. The spiritual head, or “first among equals,” of the Anglican Communion is currently the Most Reverend Justin Welby, 105th Archbishop of Canterbury.
